RISC OS

This section is only of interest to RISC OS users and those people with an open mind, who can see beyond Microsoft. So if you don't fit into either of the aforementioned categories, butt out. Available here is a brief intro to RISC OS and also the skins I've created for DigitalCD and levels I've made for Marsquake

Cock ON is not a phrase many people would use to describe their operating system of choice, but it is how I would sum up RISC OS. It's user interface is a friendly and un-obtrusive wonder of modern design. Its efficiency is unparalleled and this benefit is passed on to the user in many different ways. I find that RISC OS allows me to be more productive and creative than in other operating systems I have experienced. I can get a job done more quickly, effectively and with far less hassle. Also, it's stability is something that would make even the most belligerent windows user say "cool".

You may very well be thinking "What is it with this guy's fixation with dissing Microsoft?" If so I'll enlighten you. I grew up with RISC OS computers and so until a few years ago I had never really used any other platforms and when I didn't like them as much, I put it down to lack of experience with the other format. To a certain extent that was true. However now that I am a more seasoned user of other platforms I have decided that RISC OS is indeed the best. My particular problems with Microsoft Windows are these: (they are a bit over exaggerated for the comedy value)

I can't stand monopolies. Microsoft are selling millions of copies of their operating system, Windows. This generates a huge amount of profit, which I think they can use to create bloated software which they can sell cheaply. This undercuts other software developers who don't make huge profits on the sales of Windows. Thus Microsoft can drive their competitors out of the market. This would not happen if PC users realised the alternative: Linux.

My experience of Windows is a bug ridden one. I think Microsoft's shoddy programming and constant releasing of beta test standard, bloated software is a dire tribute to their hideous incompetence.

All the above is my own opinion and thoughts and not fact. Anyway, on to more important matters.

DigitalCD

This is a popular music player for RISC OS. There are many such programs available for RISC OS but this is my favourite due to its ease of use and vast array of impressive features. So far I have created two original skins for this program, a red and blue version of the same theme.

Download "CHUNK". I can do better so I will put more up once they are complete.

Marsquake Boom: Deluxe

Hehe. I love this game, it's so much fun. It plays like an old Bomberman game but the gameplay is fantastic. This is why, over the years, I have created a total of no less then 100 multiplayer levels. I take it you just stained yourself. It is a game for 1 to 4 players and can be great fun with friends. Here is a low quality, half-size screen shot.

Some of the levels have funny names so be sure to check them out, but please overlook the silly names as I was younger and more daft when I made them up. You can download all 100 levels.

As per usual all external links are available on the links page.
